Targets exist because limits exist: 25 MB for many mail servers, 16 MB for WhatsApp, 8 MB for some chat apps. Tell us the number and we solve for it.
Honest quality estimate
Before you spend time processing, we tell you the resolution and quality your target implies. If 25 MB is not enough for ten minutes of 1080p, you will know up front.

How it works technically
The maths is straightforward: target_bits = target_size × 8, then video_bitrate = (target_bits ÷ duration) − audio_bitrate, minus an allowance for container overhead and a safety margin so we land under the limit rather than over it. We then check bits-per-pixel: if the budget is too thin for the source resolution, we scale down a rung, because 720p at a healthy bitrate beats a smeared 1080p every time. Short clips get a two-pass encode for accuracy; long ones use a single capped-bitrate pass to keep processing cheap.
Frequently asked questions
Will the video look bad after compression?
It depends entirely on how much you are asking for. Squeezing two minutes into 25 MB looks fine; squeezing an hour into 25 MB will not. We show the estimated quality before you commit so there are no surprises.
Can I compress just one part of the video?
Yes. Clip it first, then compress the clip — the shorter the video, the more bitrate each second gets, so a clip at the same target size looks considerably better.
What happens to my file after processing?
It is deleted automatically. Your result is stored in a temporary folder for a short window so you can download it, then removed permanently along with any intermediate files. We do not publish, index, share or keep your media, and we never use it to train AI models.
Do I need to install any software?
No. Everything runs in your browser and on our servers, so it works the same on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iPhone. There is no app to install and no account to create.
Can I process any video I find online?
Only content you own or are otherwise permitted to process. The service works with publicly accessible links and does not bypass DRM, paywalls, sign-in or any other access control. You are responsible for having the rights to the material you submit.
