About VidUtilities
One idea
Most of the time you do not want a whole video — you want thirty seconds of it, or its audio, or a smaller copy you can actually send. VidUtilities is built around that: paste a link, and within a couple of seconds you can see what the video is and choose what you need from it.
Built to be light
We do not keep your files, and we avoid downloading data we do not need. When you ask for a clip we fetch the part covering it rather than the whole source, and wherever the formats allow we copy the video stream instead of re-encoding it. That is better for your quality, faster for you, and cheap enough for us to keep the service free.
What we will not build
VidUtilities does not circumvent DRM, bypass sign-in or paywalls, or reach content that is not publicly accessible. Those limits are deliberate and are not going to change.
